Cover Review: Royally Lost by Angie Staton

Okay, let me start out by saying that I bought this book on a whim during one of Kobo’s sales. I then proceeded to read this book. I now hate this book. I have decided to review the cover anyway because I have not bought any other books recently. So, here goes basically nothing.

How cute is that book cover? Super cute right? Well, it’s not. It is evil with a caked on layer of cute foundation that has ruined my life. That book was awful. Just awful. I can now see how awful the cover is too. That skirt? So 2001.That belt? 2002 at the latest! Has anyone heard of fashion around here? Book covers should be timeless, guess this one missed the memo. Anyway, this book was so bad that it put me into a lull. I haven’t read a book in a week because of this wretched piece of literature, and now I have come to hate a seemingly obsolete book cover. I can’t even type more about this before it turns into a book review instead of a cover review.

If anyone has read this book please let me know what you thought about it! I would love to share opinions on it!

Keep designing your own catastrophe, as long as it does not include reading this book.

  1. Thanks for the warning! You should watch a subtitled TV drama. I personally use Asian dramas to help me get over a reading funk. If you have Netflix try Boys Over Flowers. It’s one of my favs.

    • No problem! And maybe I will check something like that out. If you like Boys Over Flowers check out Ana Huang’s book ‘All I’ve Never Wanted’ it is roughly based off of Boys Over Flowers, combined with Japanese Manga! I read the book earlier this year and it was really good!

  2. Hahahaha. This is hilarious. I searched for the tag “royally lost” hoping to find some good reviews on this book, since like you, I have bought this book on a whim and wasted my time and money on a book that was never worth it. So far, this book has been the worst I’ve read and I don’t want to read anything like it again. (Smiles) Well, I like your review.
