1. Pick a Book with a Winter-y Cover
I choose… White Bird in a Blizzard by Lauren Kasischke
And, yes I am aware that there are feathers covering the cover of this book. But in all honesty, I had a hard time finding a book with a winter-y theme, and this one was covered in a white fluffy substance, with the word blizzard on the front. So, this book is the winner!
2. Pick a book you are likely to buy as a present
I choose… Room by Emma Donoghue. I chose this because this is by far, one of my favourite books I have read this year, and in saying that I am deeply saddened to tell you that Jordan has not yet read this book. And she has to. Like 5 minutes ago.
3. Pick a Festive Themed Book
I choose… The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis. I chose this book because, although this book is not directly related to the holidays, it does mention the holidays quite a bit considering the text. And Narnia is filled with snow, which is beautiful (even though the White Witch brought it on – and I have some choice words for her).
4. Pick a book you can curl up with by the fireplace
I choose… Looking for Alaska by John Green. I chose this book because I love the storyline of this book and I love how the main character has all these little quirks that we get to see. Although the theme of this book is of a quite sad nature I still can see myself by the fireplace in my house, under a blanket, with a nice cup of hot chocolate and a paperback copy of Looking for Alaska.
5. Pick a book that you want to read over the festive period
I choose… The Retribution of Mara Dyer. I chose this book because I have wanted to get around to reading this book for ages (since it came out), I just haven’t had the time yet. And I hear Jordan whispering in my ear right now telling me to just drop all studying for the night and read the book, but that is not going to happen, so I have to wait until the holidays to delve into this beautiful trilogy again.
6. Pick a book that is so good it gives you the chills
I choose… We Were Liars by E.Lockhart. I chose this book because I just recently finished it, and until I read the very last page I did not understand why people were loving this book so much, but now understanding the fact that this book is absolutely amazing. I feel confident that when I finished this book I was under the major influence of the chills because of how amazing it is.
7. Pick a book that is going on your Christmas Wish List
I choose… Stir-Fry by Emma Donoghue. Only ever reading one of her books, and loving it, I feel the need to read more of her writing. I chose Stir-Fry because the book is about a girl around my age, which makes it more relatable. And the fact that I have been refusing to let myself purchase it at Chapters is also another good reason as to why I know that I should read this book.
Anyway, that is the end of the tag, and I hope that you all had an amazing 2nd day of December!
