Book Review: Palo Alto by James Franco

This book is not like most others I  have read in the past considering that it is not a series of events telling just one persons story, but it’s a collection of events that are all interconnected and interact with each other in come way. Each chapter is told from a different characters point of view and allows you to really see the big picture of what is going on in Palo Alto. It almost felt like you were the fly on the wall in many peoples lives, just looking through at the struggles, triumphs, and failures of teenage life. I have some characters points of view that I wished I could have read more of, but then after continuing to read more of the book I realized that reading one characters point of view for a lengthy period of time would have ruined the book. This book was captivating, interesting, and overall pretty well written. Sometimes it was hard to follow, because you were unsure of whose perspective you were reading from, and how they all fit together. But at the end of the book all the chapters sort of fit together like puzzle pieces. A puzzle that you could mostly put together you were just missing a few pieces here and there. I honestly enjoyed reading the book and am excited to read the movie pretty soon.

Keep on designing your own catastrophe…
