Book Review: Flirting in Italian by Lauren Henderson

As many of you know, Jordan and I travelled around Italy for a month during our Summer Break, and the day before I left my step-mom thought it would be a great idea to buy me this book. It was on the bargain table at Chapters, and I forced myself to read it before I left for Italy. I never got around to reviewing it because I had other books on my list to do before that but I am going to review it for you know!

Okay, so I want to start off with saying that I was not expecting much from this book when I started reading it, it was not meant to be an enlightening read or allow me to view the world in a different way, but I did read it to see if it would compare at all to my experience of Italy.

When I read this I realized that I was not at all a fan. I hate giving out bead reviews of books, but this one was not good. It had the entertainment value and everything, but the plot was weak and loose and hung on the hope that she would see this really attractive guy and they would fall magically in love. And then when I finished the book I realized that it is to become a trilogy. And I was not at all impressed. I want to know how the whole story pans out and ends but I do not want to read the rest of the series; so I am doing what every bibliophile will do: try and forget about the loose and tattered ending of the first book and google the spoilers when the rest of the series is released. Anyway, the only reason I would recommend reading this is if you are going to spend a lot of time in Tuscany and want something to get you excited for your trip – which is what I used it for! But other than that a beach read possibly, but there are better options for that so I would just skip it in general! Anyway, thanks for reading and let me know your thoughts on the book if you have read it!
